When I finally decided to read C&P about 10 years ago, I asked one the lit teachers in the high school I teach at which translation he’d recommend. He said he’d read a few of them over the years and gave me the copy that he had in his classroom. It happened to be the McDuff (Penguin Classics). Asked if this was the best, he said, “yes, because it’s the one in your hand”. Told me that the differences between them is so utterly minimal and the reality is you’re very likely only going to read it once, so just go for it and enjoy. I did and I did.

read the p&v translation it’s the most accurate one in my opinion
