I was raised in a strict religious household and was raised under the impression that anyone living in a different way is wrong. I have been in therapy but I still catch myself having preconceived notions in certain instances and have to tell myself that those judgements aren’t logical. I am not really looking for a self-help style of book but something that will help me to go to a good/positive place upon first impressions and love people around me more. Thanks in advance!

“Unfollow”, by Meghan Phelps maybe? Your upbringing can’t possibly have been THAT bad.
Honestly my stance is the best way to tackle this is to read books written by/about the types of people you used to judge. It humanizes people you’ve viewed as “other”.
A lot of bias or judgement reaction is a learned response that you can unlearn through exposure.
Hotline is a really great book about the immigrant experience, for example. Five Little Indians is a must read in my opinion, at least for Canadians.
Have you read The Four Agreements?
The Poisonwood Bible.
