Hey Ya’ll,
I’ve noticed that as I approach the end of a book, I tend to read faster, either because I am excited or because I want to get it over with and move on to the next one. This leads to me (rather obviously) skipping over or skimming plot points, dialogue, and developments which are consequential to the plot, and are especially important as they contribute to the overall ending.
Has anyone dealt with this before? How can I stop this? Recently, I was in love with a book but was left unsatisfied at the end, and I think it was because of this.
