As the title suggests, I used to read a huge amount when I was younger, but life/family/work seems to have got in the way and I want to rectify this.
I tend to enjoy history, and fact over novels but I’m open to suggestion, some books I have enjoyed when I read a lot:
Concorde – history of the plane told by the chief ba pilot
Moby dick
Red dwarf : uk sci fi comedy, show was good but the books were brilliant
Lancaster: Story of the bomber and the people who made it (there’s a theme here)
SAS by Ben McIntyre – story of the formation of the group.
Curious incident of the nighttime and the dog – really lovely story about a child with learning difficulties and how they perceive the world.
Fried gold – actor nick frost telling his life through his food recipe that mean a lot to him.
Need do well – Simon Pegg autobiography.
That said – I’m open for anything, but looking for that feeling that a book has when it completely pulls you in.
Thanks in advance
