Just Finished ‘Dawn’ by Elie Wiesel [corrected] and wonder if anyone else shared my realization that how eerily relatable it was to the current 2023 Middle East events, if only a few elements of the scenes were reverted. Similar stories could be told with different characters in different Lt times. For instance, John Dawson could belong to a different domineering army, and the name of the to be executed David B Moshe could be exchanged to another that represented a different typical athletic name. However, sentiments in the book about human griefs, revenge, and violence, or the justification of it, transcended through history.
