Suggest me a book where the astronauts or space travelers wake up from stasis.
Only to find themselves in a fubar situation. Where nothing makes sense at first and only do we the reader understand what happen by reading more of the book.
*Pandorum* by Peter A. Flannery –
Astronauts wake up from hypersleep to find their spaceship in disarray, and they have to piece together what happened.
*Six Wakes* by Mur Lafferty –
A crew of a generational spaceship waking up to find that they’ve been murdered and then cloned. They have to solve their own murders while dealing with an increasingly complex situation.
*The Space Between the Stars* by Anne Corlett –
Woman wakes up to find that a virus has wiped out nearly all of humanity across colonized space, and she has to find her way back to Earth.
*Pushing Ice* by Alastair Reynolds –
This one starts with a mining ship diverting its course to investigate a moon that’s been knocked out of orbit. Things get increasingly complicated and mysterious after that, especially once the crew goes into stasis.
*Hull Zero Three* by Greg Bear –
It’s a dark, confusing journey through a massive, malfunctioning generation ship. The protagonist wakes up with amnesia.
Bonus book: Doesn’t quite fit the question perfectly but one of my favorite books is *The Martian* by Andy Weir. You’ve probably read it already but if you haven’t, read this one first.

The Legacy of Heorot, by Niven, Pournelle and Barnes – the fubar is a slow burn to begin with and there are some attitudes that haven’t dated well, but it’s a solidly exciting read.
