Hi, all. Happy holidays. My girlfriend doesn’t like to read. But, I love reading. So, I plan to have the two of us read a book together. Picture that cheesy/corny scene at the end of Notting Hill where Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts are sitting and reading on a park bench. I plan to read to her, but I will also make her take a turn at reading. Therefore, my learned friends, can you please give me a book recommendation that my girlfriend and I can start with? I want a classic, must-read book that is not too daunting, boring, nor “difficult” for my non-reading girlfriend to understand, lol. I also want it to be a fun or interesting book that she could really get into. I’m a well-read guy, but I just can’t decide myself which book it would be to first read with her. Please help.
