    Hello,

Thanks for any recommendations in advance.

I’m looking for a fantasy series where whatever magic system is used in the books also touches everyday life.

Game of thrones, wheel of time both of these have fantasy magical elements but it’s creature/war/fighting/travel only for the most part.

I’d love to see something where it influences everything from objects to how people live etc. kind like Harry Potter, everything is influenced with magic, newspaper, buildings, objects. Stardust is another example of this

    * I’m looking for a story with a good conflict and magic people apart of that conflict I just want there to be more uses for the magic other then strictly combat.*

    1. I feel like this should be easier to recomend than it is…

      – There are scenes in the second era of Mistborn that uses this, although not as much as I’d wish.
      – The Thief on the Winged Horse does not use magic that much for everyday stuff, but it’s much more low key and everyday setting.
      – I also feel like some of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld should fit here, but I’m not well versed enough in that to know for sure.
      – Not books, but Avatar: The last airbender and Legend of Korra both use this.

The Furies of Calderon by Jim Butcher

Yes, the story is predominately about war and politics, however, magic is ubiquitous to the world. Everyone, except the main character, has magic of some level of ability. They naturally use it for everything.

Stormlight Archive magic systems define basically everything about societies. They also define war, but their money, technology, homes, cities and history are all a result of magic.
