TL;DR – I want to make copies of a book made by a family member (that was never formally published), without damaging the original, but I have no idea where to go for that sort of service, or even what search terms to use. Any help/suggestions would be super appreciated!
Many, many years ago, my grandma had someone do a genealogy of our whole family history. The person who did it, another family member, took a year long sabbatical to research everything and printed it all out as a book.
That book means *the world* to my grandmother, and is something she would *love* to be able to give all of her children and grandchildren a copy of.
Unfortunately, though, my grandma only received one copy at the time (as far as we know, it may be the *only* copy), the guy who made it has since passed away, and she hasn’t had any luck contacting his family about getting more copies made.
So, I’m hoping there might be some kind of professional I could hire to make us some copies using the book she has (without damaging/destroying it), but I have NO idea where to go for that kind of service, or even what search terms to use to find someone.
Is there a particular profession that does stuff like that?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
