Been on a kick with his work lately after picking up The Trees and finishing it within a day. I saw the American Fiction adaptation and loved it, and will be finishing up I Am Not Sidney Poitier this week.
Between the propulsive plot of Trees and the great humor and depth of Not Sidney, what of his should I read next? I’d like to check out Erasure, but want to give it some time between having seen the adaptation so I can experience the book a bit more on its own terms.
Any recs would be greatly appreciated!
