I’m looking for a book or series, that has fantasy and/or sci-fi elements. Takes place in an eastern Asian setting – preferably Japan or Korea (I’ve read *many* Chinese books like this already). YA is ok but I’d prefer it be more adult with adult characters if possible (or mature older teens). I like some romance but it doesn’t have to be the driving force. I like high stakes, thriller, cerebral, but also something fun. Heavy / gory is fine.
Aside from sci fi and fantasy, the next genre I like the most is historical/thriller/mystery.
I’m legally blind so I rely on audio books but I have an app that can translate a digital book into audio if need be (a performance based audio book is always better though).
