Usually, all of the fantasy books I’ve read have had a medieval backdrop or a Victorian setting, and that’s it. There’s almost no variation- its either one or the other. And while I love my gritty medieval fantasy like Game of Thrones or The Witchet, and my sophisticated and classy Victorian books, I’m getting soooo tired of the same old thing all the time.
So I came to Reddit to ask for book recs (if there are any out there) that ARE NOT based off these two time periods. And the question isn’t posed to SPECIFICALLY Regency or Geargian Era settings, but more of just any fantasy setting that isn’t medieval or Victorian.
