I love reading books were there is an antihero or a hero (loose sense of the word) battling a unique and rounded villain.
I loved no country for old men ( & the road generally from McCarthy) and I read the HEAT2 novel from Michael Mann recently which I thought was a great add on to the movie. The de niro character with a cool head and inner code is exactly the style I like.
For context my fav was the Count of Monte Cristo when I was growing up. I loved the slow thought out approach to how to seek his revenge and the ambiguousness of his actions.
Can anyone suggest a novel or series that follows either an antihero or villain. I like plots were aspects of luck or evolving circumstances combine with strategy or their own meticulous nature. They may plan to rob a bank or do something stand alone.
I am thinking along the tone of TV shows I really enjoyed like better call Saul and the Fargo TV series.
Would really appreciate if anyone else likes this genre and has Amy suggestions?
