My favorite kind of books are ones that touch on some beautiful social philosophy, graceful characters who live for life and deep relationships. And not sad (i.e. *not* A Beautiful Life, Goldfinch…)

Examples of my favorite books are:

Anna Karenina (don’t think any explanation is needed, but I loved Levin and how Kitty ended up with the epitome of a great man after she pined for someone who wasn’t. Everyone was kind and gracious to each other. I didn’t find this book sad but rather beautiful!)

Gentlemen in Moscow (the Count’s grace is just next level. He relates to people beautifully. He upkeeps his standards even when it’s just him. And he has phenomenal adventures.)

Shantaram (lots of life philosophy and also, Lin is a very gracious friend. Adventure, happiness, relationships abound)

The Rosie Project (a man with Asperger’s learns how to connect with others. Adventures. Relationships. Humor. Social nuance.)

I’ve been on the hunt for some other great books – can someone please recommend?
