Hello! I’m part of a book club/circle that holds them every few months. In the previous two circles we covered the following books: The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro and Man’s search for meaning by Viktor Frankl. I’m looking for some recommendations for books that are similar to these books in terms of genre (Historical Fiction mainly) and discussion material. I feel like there are some books which are great but they’re not really book club material as they don’t spark any conversation about their themes or characters.
I had the following books in mind but I’m not sure if they are good enough:
\- fahrenheit 451
\- the bells of nagasaki
\- all the light we cannot see
\- men in the sun
Anyone have any suggestions of great books that they’ve read lately you think we would enjoy discussing?
