i have trash taste in entertainment. my gold standard is jersey shore, reality and dating shows take up most of my netflix queue. so i like garbage. im looking for something similar in book form. books that lay the drama on thick. a lifetime movie in book form. ive read all of vc andrews and jackie collins. those are exactly what im looking for. recommendations?

**The Far Pavilions, by M. M. Kaye**
Gloriously soap opera nonsense, set in India/Pakistan/Afghanistan under the British Raj. There are battle scenes. There’s a romance. There’s mistaken identity. It has all the juicy rubbish you could want.
They’re pretty dated (80s) but the Rutshire Chronicles series by Jilly Cooper is fun and very trashy!
