I got this book in a pile from Buy Nothing. I had never heard of it, but there was a blurb from J.R.R. Tolkien on the cover calling it, “The greatest and most convincing writer of ‘invented worlds’ that I have read.”
I’m pretty far into in, like page 300 of 450 or so… It’s a book that you definitely won’t forget. Even the character names:
Lord Juss, Goldry Bluszco, Lord Spitfire, Brandoch Daha…
It’s written in sort of oldish English, and it took me a minute to get fully engaged in it, but now, I’m really liking it!
