I’m looking for legitimately scary sci-fi horror books. Think I Must Scream but I Have No Mouth, The Veldt, The Void, Dead Silence, Frankenstein, Cell, The Strain. King is probably my favorite author. My favorite movies are Alien and The Thing if that says anything. Body horror and mechanical horror are favorites of mine. I also love medical horror and medical mysteries. I love The Jigsaw Man by Gord Rollo, although it’s kind of a guilty pleasure book. I’m open to pretty much anything as long as it’s well written. I’m not looking for, like, torture porn or anything that’s extreme just for shock value. Soooooo, whatcha got for me?

‘Hyperion’ is first to come to mind, though it’s decidedly more sci-fi than horror.
