There’s a gift exchange happening at my workplace and I was paired with a coworker I’m close to. We’ve started hanging outside of work for the past two weeks and I found out that she likes to read.

I’ve already gotten her a gift that she’ll definitely like (she has specifically mentioned it during our conversations) but wanted to add a book as a final touch.

Was hoping to get her something that’s heartwarming, tugs at your heartstrings sort of book? She’s also concerned about societal issues such as mental health, racial discrimination and making cumulative efforts to help people that often fall through the cracks.

An example of this could be Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb.

    Thank you!

    1. Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby van Pelt is a really touching, creative, and well-told story. I received it last year for Xmas from my bf’s mother and I loved it.
