I finished the book yesterday and I really enjoyed it up until the end. The premise and the buildup was great. However the ending was a huge letdown Jenna being the killer just seemed like the least Intresting avenue Jenna was my first guess from the beginning. However my mind started changing with the introduction of Rose and Ellen I thought they could’ve done it together even Lisa was a good option that crossed my mind. It seemed like Jenna was the most ignored throughout the book and her being the killer was too much of a cop out, I like that the ending was open though considering how shitty the father was I didn’t really think he deserved justice. Another thing I couldn’t stand Audrey she was meant to be the sleuth that we were rooting for but she was just as insufferable she kept calling the kids spoiled and entitled as if she was owed something as well just because she covered up her father’s murder. Sharis books are usually a hit or miss for me and this is the second time it’s happened an Unwanted guest had a slower buildup but judt like this book the ending was disappointing and I felt like the killer was an ignored or not very well flushed out character.
