Any historical/fantasy/contemporary books featuring secret societies which also has a lot of romance, preferably heavy on sexual content ,as well as slow burn ? Keeping the relationship secret from other members or the relationship itself being forbidden would be great and if its angsty that’s even better. I prefer m/f romance and preferably no sexual abuse or assault.

There’s a book that almost gets there
The ninth house by Bardough is about Alex Stern who can see ghosts and after being a druggie somehow gets a full scholarship to Yale and its magic secret societies. There’s a slow burn romance. Unfortunately there is some nastiness with drugs and debt towards the end but the bad guy gets theirs. There’s also an assault by a ghost.
The second book was released earlier this year so it’s a complete and new series.
Orhan Pamuk: *The New Life* – but zero sexual content. The secret society is based on the Güler Organization.
