Looking for financial mysteries during medieval era. Underhanded dealings of Medici Bank, the Rothschilds, etc. Preferably less about politics and more about finance and crimes.
I…Don’t really know what you’re expecting here? When it comes to the Medici and italian banking… finance and politics aren’t really separate concepts in Renaissance Italy. You might want to check out *The House of Medici* by Christopher Hibbert?
Also good luck finding a book about medieval finance and the Rothschild family, which rose to prominence in the late XVIIIth century…

If you’re going to include the Rothschilds, go the whole hog and have the sale of Circassian slaves done by Apple Pay.
Dorothy Dunnett’s “Niccolò” sequence does mediæval capitalism as thoroughly as anyone could want.
