This coming year I’m going to be traveling North America for a new job and I’ll basically be living out of a suitcase for six months. I like variety so I normally read two or three books at a time, but I haven’t decided if I should pack a few dozen small titles or power through a mega 1K+ book like *It* or *Les Miserables*. I’ve already started *On the Road* by Kerouac in anticipation of my leaving and I’m loving it.

If you’re driving, you should try out some audiobooks. Some of my favorite audiobooks have been:
{{Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke}} narrated by Brenden Fraser.
{{Ready Player One by Ernest Cline}} narrated by Wil Wheaton.
Check out the other books by Ernest Cline narrated by Wil Wheaton.
{{A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman}}
Really anything by Fredrick Backman. Ove was the one I started with.
All of these had excellent stories and excellent narrators.
There’s a really good audiobook version of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. The narrator even sings the elven songs.
