Hi! I hope this is the right place for this question. I’m thinking of opening an English language bookstore in my home country in the EU. I’m trying to find out how the sourcing process works for this. Do I need to buy wholesale and import the books?
I have a lot of experience working in a bookstore and where I’m from, you can source books from domestic publishers by signing a contract with the publisher who then delivers you your stock and then you pay in invoices for the books you’ve sold (minus your comission). Is that an option when you’re working with international publishers?
