A few years ago I lost my religion and with it the social and support circle tied to that. I am also soon to be divorced/single.
I know that jumping into a new relationship is not the best for anyone involved. I’d like to learn to be happy with the happiness that grows from the inside out. I am working on trying to be a socially interesting and attractive person but I can always use more help. Rebuilding my social circle at 42 is proving to be tough but I’m willing to put in the work. In the meantime I need to learn to be OK solo.
I keep looking at activities to do such as bowling, driving range, movies, sporting events, tubing down the river, etc and I can’t push myself to do it alone. Please suggest me a book so I don’t give an F that people see me alone and think I’m a creep for doing these things by myself. I know people are mostly focused on themselves and not paying attention to me as much as I think but I still feel silly not having someone to high five at the game sort of speak. Thank you in advance.

P.S. Fuck religion. We’re all better off without it.
