I loved the color purple, lovely bones, the secret life of bees, red dragon, silence of the lambs, the art of racing in the rain, of mice and men, the five people you meet in heaven, lord of the flies, skull and bones, go ask Alice, to kill a mockingbird, I have the road (haven’t started it yet) but I’d love to hear some great suggestions!

Depends on what makes you cry. I’ve generally cried more from bittersweet books than outright terrible ones and whether I cry often has more to do with my mood than the book itself.
“Two Boys Kissing” by David Leviathan always gets me, though. The waterworks come out
If you liked Mitch Albom, read Finding Chika.
Whenever I need a good cry, I reread “And every morning the way home gets longer and longer”. Emotional and short, which is perfect to pick up a bit on a whim.
Other emotional books I enjoy are The fault in our stars, A man called Ove, The last lecture, and the pull of the stars.
