I keep on asking for adult cartoon books on Reddit, but the answer I get is “um AKSCHUALLY read comic books🤓” or “cartoons are for kids, books are meant to be imagined”. I **am** looking for a regular book with illustrations in it such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants, Dork Diaries, and Big Nate. I am **NOT** looking for comic books or Graphic novels.

There are illustrated editions of the hobbit and lord of the rings book with art done by Tolkien. I’m not sure if they’re considered adult books, I think they are?
