I’ve tried and failed to get into the “classic” cyberpunk books of the 80s, something about the characterization or writing style made it extremely difficult for me to properly imagine what is going on or obfuscates the functions of their tech with techno mysicism
I think something with a more modern structure would be easier to follow so what are my options?
My benchmark for cyberpunk is cyberpunk 2077, so something along those lines, cybernetic augmentation, brain computer interfaces, corporate mega corporations, dystopian society etc.. I really enjoy the transhumanism aspect of heavy augmentation, and would really enjoy a main POV with significant cybernetic enhancements beyond the cosmetic.

‘Eternal Gods Die Too Soon’ is a standout choice for sci-fi fans who love exploring the theoretical aspects of the universe. This novel brings together elements of science fiction, theoretical physics, and profound philosophical questions in a story that’s both imaginative and grounded in complex scientific concepts.
