trying to get out of reading exclusively fanfiction—please help!!

hi!! so ive been having difficulty getting back into reading regular books, especially after being able to find such specific fics on Ao3 and whatnot. ideally, i really want some kind of angsty found family trope book—the more heartbreaking the better. i enjoy (?? feels wrong saying that) stories with main character death. angst regarding internal and mental health struggles hits the hardest for me and keeps me engaged, so maybe something with that? additionally, romance books have never been my thing and i just don’t enjoy them. help pls
