    Suggest me a book!

    I live in the UK, and have earned £10 to spend at Waterstones, but I’m not sure what to buy.

    Themes I like:

    * Vampires/anything supernatural
    * Spies/espionage/assassins
    * Fantasy
    * Medieval
    * Sci-Fi
    * History

    Books/series I loved:

    * LoTR/Hobbit/Silmarillion
    * Empire of The Vampire
    * CHERUB/Henderson’s Boys
    * Saga of Darren Shan
    * Demonata
    * Witcher
    * Clown in a Cornfield
    * Dracula
    * Kingkiller Chronicles
    * Inheritance Cycle

    Books I did not enjoy:

    * 1984
    * The Outsider
    * Lord of the Flies

    EDIT: I’m not completely against romance/spice in books, but I do prefer books that have as little as possible

      If you don’t mind a little spice, I just finished “the Serpent and the Wings of Night” and absolutely loved it!

      *The Cruel Sea* (historical fiction) by Nicholas Monsarrat.

      *Battle for Burma: Wild Green Earth* (historical memoir) by Bernard Fergusson. Just a tad over your budget.
