It’s alright if a relationship is a *minor* subplot or incidental thing, but it can’t be the main or even a secondary affair in the plot. It can have a female protagonist or a male one, I’m indifferent. Think like Frankenstein; it’s written by a female author, Mary Shelley, but it’s not about romance or centred around it. Thanks in advance!

Lady Audley’s Secret by Mary Elizabeth Braddon
“If you enjoy a good enemies-to-lovers storyline, ‘The Hating Game’ by Sally Thorne is a book I recommend for its witty banter and electric chemistry between the characters. It’s a delightful and sexy rom-com that will keep you smiling long after you’ve turned the last page.”
