I recently got back into reading again and I get hyperfixated and read through books fast and then struggle to find a new one. I am open to any genre. I sometimes get distracted when I read non fiction – but if you have any nonfiction reads that really caught your attention please share them! I love learning.
Books I have enjoyed recently:
– The Lonely Hearts Book Club by Lucy Gilmore
– Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
– Circe by Madeline Miller
– Galatea by Madeline Miller
– The Watchmakers Daughter by C. J. Arthur
– The Last Cuentista by Donna Barba Higuera (audiobook)
– The Inmate by Freida McFadden (audiobook)
– Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter
– Freedom is a Constant Struggle by Angela Y. Davis
Books I can remember enjoying years back:
– The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
– Kindred by Octavia E. Butler
– The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

The Rivers of London books, the Book of the Ancestor series, The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.
if you liked previous work by Octavia Butler AND enjoyed the alchemist I think you would really enjoy Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler. It’s very profound like the alchemist but a more intense and in-depth plot.
Til We Have Faces by C S Lewis,
Prodigal Summer by Kingsolver,
The Language of Flowers,
Murderbot Diaries,
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society,
Up the Down Staircase,
