Hi everyone, I’m on the hunt for some good noir/detective novels that have an old 1940s/1950s aesthetic, but were also written in the past few-ish years. I’ve read several of the classics and have really enjoyed them, but I’d like to know if anyone these days is still making books like this. I’ve tried looking around a little and haven’t had much luck so far finding anything specifically set in this timeframe, so I’d appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank you!

5 Decembers by James Kestrel was fantastic. It’s a detective novel set in Hawaii, 1941.
Dominick Donald, *Breathe*. Set in the London smogs of the early 50s and very well researched.
