I recently finished a series I was reading, and I’m looking for another. I’d like to find something with a “realistic” magic system. Maybe like a grown-up’s Harry Potter? Where magical people integrate or hide in plain sight, in modern society… or something like that. I’m not looking for high fantasy.
I am currently on the 7th book of the wheel of time series, and I’m enjoying that thoroughly. Maybe I’m exposing a character flaw or something, but one book at a time just isn’t enough for me anymore lol.

One of the coolest and original takes on magic I’ve ever read is the series A Man of His Word by Dave Duncan.
Magic goes from “gifted” to “illusion” to real an concrete depending on the level of power.
