I’m a very particular reader and can only read books that can take me places but give me a deeper meaning to focus on throughout. I read “1984” and loved the idea but was way too complex in the writing style to be enjoyable. And got bored very early on in “my life of rest and relaxation” so had to give up on it.
“I love dick” by Chris Kraus was very feminist and an unorthodox writing style so it held my interest and gave me deeper things to think about and “the bell jar” by Sylvia Plath is a favourite of mine and anything like that would be very interesting but things like “animal farm” and “Lord of the flies” also peak my interest so any suggestions are appreciated.
