    2. “To be taught if fortunate” by Becky Chambers. It’s near-future space travel sci-fi. Normally I don’t love sci-fi, but this worked for me!

    3. Nothing but the Rain by Naomi Salman, a novella just under 100 pages I believe! One of my favourites this year – it’s shelved under SciFi but very light on the SciFi elements.

    4. *If Beale Street Could Talk* by James Baldwin

*Address Unknown* by Kathrine Kressmann Taylor

*The Summer Book* by Tove Jansson

*Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982* by Cho Nam-Joo

*Almond* by Sohn Won-Pyung – it’s just slightly over 250 but so worth it in my opinion!

*Dept. of Speculation* by Jenny Offill

      *Lady Susan* by Jane Austen

      *The Outsiders* by S.E. Hinton
