    Trigger warning for SA

I’m reading A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire and I just read the chapter where Casteel goes kinda feral and starting eating out Poppy basically forcing himself on her cause she really had no way to stop him and he wasn’t in his right mind so he had no idea what was going on.

Well Keiran barges in and stops Casteel and Keiran asks Poppy if Casteel forced himself on her and she says no and her inner dialogue basically says it’s fine cause she wanted it and that’s shit is pissing me off. Like he did force himself on her and it’s not any less toxic cause she was okay with it after or cause he wasn’t in his right mind.

But I don’t have anyone to discuss this with cause none of my friends are reading this series. And I can’t go in the subreddit for it if there even is one cause I don’t wanna get spoiled. And I can’t go on booktok cause once again spoilers.

    This blows.

    1. This is not the type of book I read at all so I am sorry I can not discuss this with you, but I know the feeling. I am reading “the Lies of Locke Lamora” and having fun, but no one I know has heard of it.

    2. i’ve not read this book but i remember reading something similar and it made me stop reading.

because, not only is she being forced, *he* isn’t in his right mind either which is also non consensual. it’s just an f-ed up scenario overall.

The entirety of the book is just the two guys saying “You wanted it, you know you wanted it” or “you know you’re being a bitch” when she ever slightly calls them out on their weird shit.

      Fucking hated that book
