I just watched The Lincoln Lawyer series and loved the mystery. I also loved the Jo Nesbo books, as well as Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. I’m looking for a mystery or at least something that kind of unravels as the book progresses. I prefer something that is easy to read because I have trouble focusing on airplanes.

Try a Tana French book. In The Woods is probably a good starter.
I know you mentioned you enjoy Nesbø books. If you haven’t already read Blood on Snow by Nesbø, I highly recommend. You might also enjoy The Curious Case of the Dog in the Nighttime, which is a totally different type of mystery.
Try Detective Emilia Cruz Novels
