Kids’ book that explains Jesus/Nativity from a secular view
We are trying to introduce our children to the story of Christmas. However, we are a humanist, non-religious family and want to approach it from a secular view (kind of, “this is what Christians believe…”)
You’d need to vet it first but IIRC, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever hits these beats. Misfit, neglected siblings sign up to be in the xmas pageant to get free snacks and, not knowing anything about the story, learn about it without a background religious frame of reference. I remember it being funny and sweet.
