suggest me a book that takes place in modern day latin america
title, preferably with a plot that isn’t about social class injustice but personal issues (if you read latin american books you might know what I mean)
This is the Caribbean, not necessarily Latin America, but I enjoyed Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton. It is partially set in modern day Cuba with flashbacks to revolutionary Cuba. The thrust of the plot is a woman reconnecting with her family’s past, with a side story of a romance.
