Reading “Easy Riders & Raging Bulls” and about finished. I was born in ‘82 and grew up on most of what I’ve learned are called the new Hollywood classics.

Throughly enjoying the history and timeframe as I am rewatching the flicks from my youth! Thank you HBO then and TCM ect now!!!

Anyone got any good Hollywood books to recommend? I’ll gladly accept anything after 1946 forward!

    Thanks

There’s a book by Charles Fleming called *High Concept* which basically covers the eighties through Don Simpson. Ages since I read it, but I remember the shenanigans being entertaining in a similar way to *ERRB*.

There’s *Cinema Speculation* by Quentin Tarantino. Very interesting take on quite a few different movies, including quite a few New Hollywood ones. Expect it would be a good follow-up to *Easy Riders & Raging Bulls*. Enjoyed the book personally, but personally enjoy him geeking out about movies; imagine the book would be quite the challenge if that’s not to your taste.

There’s also an utterly fascinating book: *Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho* by Stephen Rebello isn’t exactly going to fit into New Hollywood, but if you’re accepting post-1946, it’s a fascinating read. The extent of the research is just mind-blowing.
