I’m looking for a book whose plot mostly revolves around students in America sometime in history and gives a good overview of what education was like in the 18th, 19th, or 20th centuries. A book that comes to mind I loved that wasn’t necessarily just about school but very much described schooling in poor areas in the ~1950s was October Sky if that helps. Thanks!
