ahhhhh i was gonna start crime and punishment but i simply cannot read books that aren’t in the same season that i am in
any recommendations for books set in winter? – i like a lot of literary fiction, classics and philosophical novels
(bonus points if set in a european city, but not required!)

The Secret History by Donna Tartt kind of takes place during an entire year, but there are substantial winter scenes!

The Left Hand of Darkness takes place on an alien planet called Winter and has a buttload of wintery atmosphere. It’s technically science fiction but is more literary and philosophical than most.
