My boyfriend has sucked me into the horror world (with movies) but I’d love to read or listen to something that really does give you that “leave the light on feeling”.
“The Other People” by C J Tudor. I don’t like horror and I didn’t realize how scary it was going to be since I think it’s more marketed as a thriller. I was listening to it and I couldn’t listen to it at night because I got too scared, day light only and all the lamps on 😂

I read Gerald’s Game in one night, alone in my house. By the time I finished, all my doors and windows were locked and all the lights were on.

Probably something about retirement planning.

“A Head Full of Ghosts” was my introduction to horror, and it surprised me with how often it held me in suspense.

The Stand by Stephen King. Considering the pandemic we just went through, that book scares the living shit out of me.
