Hey Everybody!
I have read two books in the Discworld series. I read Equal Rites and absolutely loved it. However, I have been struggling with finishing Guards Guards and realize I need to throw in the towel and move on to the next book in the series. Since there are so many, and i am new to the series, I am having trouble picking.
I have no concrete reason as to why I didn’t like Guards Guards. I mostly felt like it could have just been a short story and I didn’t really connect with the characters.
It’s a 41 book series so I am not concerned about loving every book. But, what does reddit recommend for the next one I should read?

Try the other ones with Granny Weatherwax in them. Wyrd Sisters, I think is where you’d start. If you liked Esk, you might also like Susan Sto Helit (Death’s granddaughter) and might try The Hogfather or Soul Music (Soul Music comes first chronologically but I personally fell in love with Susan in the Hogfather). Or you might try the Tiffany Aching books instead, starting with Wee Free Men.
