Dust Jackets Seem loose fitting, what am I doing wrong

So I just bought some Dune special edition’s from Amazon because I thought the dust jackets looked really nice. I removed it partially to see if the embossed text in the front was ok (some reviews said they could come upside down). When I put the dust jacket back on, it now looks loose fitting on the book. It also curves and is no longer hugging/tight on the spine. Im new to books and buying hard covers with dust jackets, is this normal?
