I’m also open to sapphic book suggestions from the early 20th century. I was watching this documentary called “Forbidden Love: The Unashamed Stories of Lesbian Lives” and I would absolutely love to read a similar story.

Sarah Waters’s stuff might be up your alley. “Tipping the Velvet” is a classic about Victorian crossdressing lesbians, “Fingersmith” is about a lady and her maid and WTFery.
