I just finished the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. I also have recently caught up with The Stormlight Archive series and some other Sanderson novels. I really like fantasy novels that have really good character development, maybe a splash of comedy here and there, a bit of romance is fine, but really I’m all about magic and cool ways they use it.
I don’t want to read some teenage angsty book about Joe who’s 14 and just discovered magic abilities that he uses to impress girls in high school with. Lol. I usually prefer my protagonists to be adults, but I have found some series I enjoy like Michael Vey that’s more YA fantasy.
Any length series is fine but I do prefer more than just one book most of the time. I think my biggest caveat is that I really only listen to audiobooks because I have a hard time staying focused on words on a page and I can also listen on my drive to and from work.
