Earlier this year, I read *Dracula* and really liked it. Recently when I was searching for public domain audiobooks on Librivox, I came across Stoker’s *The Lair of the White Worm.* So, I decided to give it a try.
I finished it today and was pretty underwhelmed by how the book turned out. I mean, the initial chapters were interesting. But eventually, as it went ahead into the plot, it kind of got draggy.
Not a lot of exciting things happen anywhere in the book. The things that do happen were pretty meh and did not excite the reader in me for what is coming next in the plot. And the climax of the plot was also too simple. Things just happen and the book ends.

It’s a good movie. The book, not so much.
