I’m looking for sociological/ anthropological SciFi. I also love linguistics.
I am a big fan of Ursula K. Le Guin and have already read a lot of her work. I would love recommendations for books that are not well known in this genre?

It’s a novella, but I recommend “Looking Through Lace” by Ruth Nestvold.
I’m assuming you’ve already read “Stories of Your Life and Others” by Ted Chiang. But if you haven’t, the movie “Arrival” is based on the short story “Story of Your Life” included in the novella. I would also suggest “Parable of the Sower” by Octavia E. Butler. Not for the faint of heart, but it’s a moving read.
